]]> A mid century modern side table, classically honed out of an hardwood old side table with a bad future. Through-tenons. Angled, tapered legs. An added touch – a light inlay on the legs. Put it next to your Knoll Armchair, pour a Scotch, contemplate the good things in life. 530(L) x 440(W) x 430(H) mm. This table was made from a reclaimed square side-table with claw-feet, which (apart from being rickety) was truly hideous. Now re-imagined as a  mid century modern side table classic. The tight-fitting through-tenons have been trenailed and glued for additional strength. The finish is Danish-Oil, followed by a 50:50 Danish-Oil : Clear Matt Varnish mix, and then finally clear wax. Always use a Coaster for that whiskey or coffee! Maintenance is easy – give it a wax every few months (Briwax is good). Never use Pledge on any of our furniture.

]]> It is rumoured that a 12-year old boy (imagining himself to be Monet) redecorated this table in the pointillist style by jabbing a pen into it repeatedly. Still, once that was sanded down, and a proper finish applied, the beauty returned.
